I have very little respect for people who speak out on topics they do not have education in, or represent something I am vehemently opposed to, and I certainly will not support them with my “hard earned” money.
For someone who dropped out of high school to proffer an opinion on psychology, and claim to have “studied” it without actually having a degree in it is inappropriate. Furthermore, Cruise, being a man, is unsuited to have an opinion and esp. offer one on postpartum depression.
I don’t acknowledge “Scientology” as a religion, it is recognized here in the U.S. as one. but it isn’t in many countries, perhaps they adhere to more strict standards, I know I do.
As for his acting, he usually succeeds in action packed movies, which I find that he “acts” around special effects, so I often wonder if it is he who is getting the praise or the special effects. In the 1985 fantasy film ‘Legend’ that had special effects but not action packed, in my opinion, he showed poor acting ability. A film which I did think he acted well was ‘Magnolia’, but at the time I felt he was type cast, only after his display with Matt Lauer did I feel vindicated.

I laughed my head off at his ridiculous reaction when someone sprayed him with a water pistol in London. He believes his own bullshit like nobody I’ve ever seen. He’s just an actor and a very SHORT one at that. For fuck’s sake, he’s a midget pretending to be an action man!

I can’t stand religious nutters and he seems to be the king of them. He makes the Taliban and Fundamentalist Christians look normal.
